The transcript is completely empty

Almost always a permission that was never granted, or was granted after the app started. Check that Starlinguide has microphone access, and on macOS that it also has Screen and System Audio Recording. Then quit the app fully and reopen it, because macOS only applies a new grant on restart.

It only hears me, not the interviewer

Your voice arrives through the microphone; everyone else arrives through system audio. If your side transcribes and theirs does not, system audio capture is the piece that is missing rather than the microphone.

It stopped partway through

Changing audio device mid-call used to end the stream silently. Current versions follow the new default device. If you are on an older build, the changelog will tell you which version fixed it.

Words arrive late or garbled

Transcription runs over a live connection, so it is sensitive to an unstable network. On a shaky link, prefer wired over wireless and close anything else saturating the connection.
